Episode 16 – Beijing 2022, Day 15 Review

It’s the penultimate day of the 2022 Winter Olympics Games from Beijing, but the action was still coming in thick and fast!

There was no golden glory for GB in the men’s curling final, but Niklas Edin has finally won gold for Sweden!

Elsewhere, a non-surprising German 1-2 in the women’s bobsleigh, a popular home gold in the figure skating and Belgium won their first Winter gold since 1948!

The strong winds postponed the Alpine team event and caused chaos in the men’s ski halfpipe, but Nico Porteus still bagged New Zealand’s second ever Winter gold medal!

Episode 15 – Beijing 2022, Day 14 Review

We’ve reached the final Friday of Beijing 2022 and there’s still plenty to talk about; GB’s women won a rollercoaster of a match against Sweden in the curling, while Eileen Gu secured her third medal of these Olympics in the freestyle skiing.

Chris and Alex also look back on the drama from the 1000m in the speed skating, as well the biathlon, where Johannes Thingnes Boe chased his fifth medal of these games.

Episode 14 – Beijing 2022, Day 13 Review

We wore our lucky bib 13 for Day 13 of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, and it paid off! Team GB have a confirmed medal!

We discuss a thrilling day of curling, with GB’s men making the Olympic final and GB women booking their spot in the semi-finals, thanks to Sweden!

Another day to forget for Mikaela Shiffrin, Gisin glory in the combined. Chris dissects the drama in the women’s ski cross, a slip in the speed skating and we hype-up the halfpipe medals!

Episode 13 – Beijing 2022, Day 12 Review

Day 12, Episode 13, but sadly bib number 13 was not lucky to get Dave Ryding a medal! But it was Joyeux Noel in the men’s slalom for Clement.

Elsewhere at the Winter Olympics today, there was another gold for China, an upset for the USA in the Ice Hockey and a dramatic finish to the women’s Cross Country relay.

We got our calculators out for the Curling standings, enjoyed a slightly baffling Ski Slopestyle final and said goodbye to the Short Track Speed Skating, with a thrilling finale.

Episode 12 – Beijing 2022, Day 11 Review

It’s Day 11 of the games and there’s so much to discuss. Medals were decided in both the men’s and women’s Snowboard Big Air, with the pressure of Olympic competition forcing the riders to perform their best and most challenging tricks, while the women’s freeskiers took to the slopestyle in the pursuit of precious metal.

Also today, Alex explains why he has converted to the Church of Biathlon, following a thrilling 4×7.5km relay which saw Norway win in the most unlikely of circumstances.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg from the day’s action!

Day 9! It’s snow joke, there’s actual heavy snow at the Winter Olympics in Beijing!

A disrupted schedule meant that a few events were delayed, but we did have an exciting men’s giant slalom, a successful day for GB curling and groundbreaking gold medals for Shaoang Liu and Erin Jackson over 500 metres.

Plus, Alex actually watched some Biathlon and Cross Country Skiing – so hopefully that will silence our critics!

Episode 9 – Beijing 2022, Day 8 Review

It’s the eighth day of the Winter Olympics and Chris and Alex are joined by Kyle Scott to look back on the day’s highs and lows, including historic medals for Hannah Neise, Jaclyn Narracott and Kimberley Bos in the women’s skeleton.

The boys also discuss the second gold of the games for Lindsey Jacobellis, who took victory in the Mixed Team Snowboard Cross alongside her teammate, Nick Baumgartner, while the Speed Skating saw the Netherlands absent from the podium for he first time at these games, with an Asian sweep of the medals in the men’s 500m.
